Social welfare is how happy you are with your interactions with others. Intellectual well-being is another complex. On the one hand, it can be seen as a measure of sanity, whether or not you can trace concepts through conversation or think things that make sense. On the other hand, intellectual well-being can be related to satisfaction with mental stimulation. A person with a very pleasant lifestyle can continue to be unhappy if they are not doing enough intellectual activity, such as an interesting conversation, interesting books to read, or problems to solve.

Spiritual well-being is our last category because, in a way, it brings together “everything else”. Often, this is measured by whether you feel you have a purpose in life, if you are happy in your current circumstances, and if you are happy with your overall outlook on life. You don't need to be religious to have spiritual well-being, just be at peace with yourself and your environment. holistic health and wellness is when a person examines each pillar of their body and makes changes to see them in their best state of health as a whole.
